HOW TO SOLVE PROBLEM, SERVER SECURITY CERTIFICATE IS NOT YET VALID

Some time you install fresh Operating system in your computer and then you install Browser, google chrome. After installation you try to open gmail, yahoo, or facebookin google chrome but you do not see your required page and see a message “Server Security Certificate is not yet valid”. Then you also try to open the page by clicking on “continue anyway” but the result is same.

Infect this problem occurs due to incorrect date and time of your computer. By synchronizing your system clock you can solve this problem.

I will tell you the best solution of this problem. Just follow these steps and after completion you will be able to login to facebook, yahoo, gmail etc.

Click on Start Menu and then control penal.

Open Date/Time setting

Adjust correct date and time according to your region.

Open "Internet Time Zone" tab.

Click on "Update Now" button. After clicking on button, It will start synchronzing your internet server timing.

After 7-8 seconds you will see a message, "The time has been successfully synchronized with time.windows.com on 07-07-2013 at 5:09PM.

Done

Now try to open facebook, yahoo or gmail in google chrome again. Surely you will login successfully.

GET BACK YOUR RECYCLE BIN

Recycle Bin is used to keep unnecessary files or folder. Some of my blog visitors asked about this problem that how they can get back their recycle bin after deleting it on windows XP.

You can use this method to get back recycle bin.

Important Note.

For this purpose you will have to modify the Registry. It is strongly recommended that if you have some basic knowledge of registry then you can try it. Otherwise some serious problems might occur if you modify theRegistry incorrectly. Now let’s try it. Follow these steps carefully to edit the registry to make the Recycle Bin icon reappear on your desktop.

i. Click START and then click RUN

ii.  Now type “ regedit” and then click OK.

iii. Locate the following registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsfot\windows\Current

version\Explorer\Desktop\namespace

iv. Right click the registry key that you located in number(iii), Point to new and then click key.

v.  Now Type {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} and press Enter.

vi.  After this click the new {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} key.

vii. In the right, use your mouse to double click the default entry.

viii.   You will see a “Edit string dialog box”. Type Recycle Bin in the value data box and finally click OK.

ix. Now close your registry Editor and check your desktop.

x.   You will see recycle Bin icon on your desktop wall.

Go to start menu and press “run”

Type “osk”

Now press enter.

you will see keyboard on your desktop screen. Now use mouse to click on keys for operation.

Click Start menu and select run.

Now type (sysedit.exe) in run and press enter.

System configuration editor will appear.

Here you can see some multiple windows but you will select (system.ini).

Now close this window and save it.

Reboot your computer now.

INSTALL WINDOWS XP FASTER

In this post I will tell you about installation of win XP in minimum time period. Normally when someone tries to install windows XP on computer, it takes around 30-40 min to complete entire setup. It is too much time to install windows setup. I will tell you a method to install windows more faster. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete windows installation. So to install win XP in short time please follow these steps.

Power on your computer and start with bootable windows XP cd
In first step window will load installation files.
Select any drive ( C: ) for installation.
Select NTFS to format the partition.
Setup will copy files on this drive and it will try to restart PC.
After restarting when you see Xp logo, press (Shift+F10).
It will open (CMD) prompt.
In CMD prompt type (Taskmgr)
It will open task manager. Now go to “process” tab and find “Setup exe” Right click on setup.exe and select “Set priority”
You will see a submenu. Here priority will be normal. Select priority to (High) or above (Normal).
Done.

This will complete installation process much faster than the normal original time.

HOW TO DISABLE ERROR REPORTING IN WIN XP

Yet Another 17 Run Commands That Every Windows User Should Know

Windows Run Command is one of the useful and important utilities that can be used to quickly access almost any app or task in your Windows system. In fact, most Windows power users use the Run Command to access the simplest of the apps like Calculator to the advanced apps like Windows Registry Editor or Group Policy Editor. Previously, I’ve shared twenty of the most used Run Commands, and many really liked it and even shared their favorite Run Commands.

So, here are yet another seventeen Run Commands that every Windows User should know.

1. services.msc

When you enter “services.msc” and press the Enter button, it will open up the Windows Services app where you can easily start, stop and configure other settings for each and every service individually. It’s quite helpful when you want to toggle a service.

2. mstsc

Entering “mstsc” into the Run dialog box opens the Remote Desktop Connection app which allows you to connect to another Windows computer over the local network or through the Internet. This helps you to use the host computer as if your own.

3. msinfo32

If you want to quickly get your system information, then the “msinfo32″ command is the way to go. At a glance, it will display all the system details including the hardware resources and software environment.

4. sdclt

This command opens the Backup and Restore window which allows you to quickly set a backup schedule or restore any of your previous backups.

5. compmgmt.msc

The Computer Management app is where you can access almost all the advanced Windows modules like Event Viewer, Shared Folder, System Tools, etc.

6. cleanmgr

This command allows you to open the Windows Disk Cleanup utility. Once opened, simply select the drive your want to clean up and click on the “Ok” button.

7. eventvwr.msc

Windows Event Viewer is where Windows stores all the monitoring and troubleshooting messages. You can use this command to quickly access the Event Viewer application.

8. control

Every Windows user knows a thing or two about the Windows Control Panel, and using this command, you can quickly access the Control Panel with some stumbling around.

9. mmc

Microsoft Management Console (MMC) is an advanced Windows module which is mainly aimed at system administrators and power users as it sports all the tools required for configuring and monitoring a Windows system.

10. resmon

Whenever you want to check how your system resources are being utilized, simply use this run command, and it displays everything from your CPU to Dist to Network.

11. desk.cpl

Want to quickly change your screen resolution? Simply enter this command in the Run dialog box and you are good to go.

12. snippingtool

Snipping tool is a very useful tool if you want to take quick snapshots. This lightweight tool even comes with its own basic image editor so that you can make necessary modifications to the snapshot.

13. taskmgr

Access the Windows Task Manager by right-clicking on the taskbar and selecting the option “Task Manager.” But another quick way is to type this command in the Run Dialog box.

14. main.cpl

Mouse properties are generally buried deep inside the Windows Control Panel, but you can easily access the same using this Run command.

15. psr

Problem Steps Recorder (PSR) is a great utility to record and show a certain problem in Windows. Just use this simple command to access the tool.

16. “chrome” or “firefox”

If you’ve installed Chrome or Firefox, you can easily launch those programs by entering these commands. Of course, you can launch any registered Windows program this way (ex: notepad).

17. wscui.cpl

Using this simple Run command, you can access the Windows Action Center without stumbling around or messing with the Windows Control Panel.

How to Activate Super Administrator Account in Windows

f you are the only user using your Windows machine, then you are the administrator for your machine. But with the Windows operating system, there are so many little things that are hidden away and the Super Administrator account is one of them. And if you are wondering, the Super Administrator account is different from your current Administrator account, as it gives you much more permissions to change things in the OS. Of course Windows doesn’t call this a special account, but it sure gives you some extra privileges over the normal administrator account.

Some of the privileges include but aren’t limited to full administrator rights and override UAC (User Access Control), to do some over-the-top troubleshooting. So, if you ever want, here is how you can enable super administrator account in Windows.

Enable it Through Command Prompt

Enabling the super admin account using the command prompt is one of the easiest ways. To do that, search for the command prompt in the start menu, right-click on it and select the option “Run as administrator.” If you are using Windows 8, simply press “Win + X” and select the option “Command Prompt (Admin).”

Once the command prompt has been opened, enter the following command and press the Enter button.

Net user administrator /active:yes

As soon as you execute the command, the super administrator account is enabled, and you can access it by switching the accounts. If you want to password protect the super administrator account, then use the following commands. Don’t forget to replace “yourPassword” with the actual password.

Net user administrator yourPassword
Net user administrator activate:yes

Once you are done playing with the super administrator account, it is always a good idea to disable it. To disable the super administrator account, use the below command.

Net user administrator /active:no

That’s all there is to do. You’ve successfully disabled the super administrator account.

Enable it Through Local Users and Groups

Note: to use this method, you need to have Pro or Enterprise versions of Windows as the basic version doesn’t have the required snap-in.

If you are uncomfortable using the Command Prompt, then you can do the same using the Local Users and Groups snap-in. To do that, press “Win + R,” type lusrmgr.msc and press the Enter button.

The above action will open the Local Users and Groups window. Navigate to the Users folder, and you will find the user account named “Administrator” in the right pane. As you see, it is disabled by default (which is indicated by the little down arrow icon).

To enable the super administrator account, right click on it and select the option “Properties.”

Uncheck the checkbox “Account is disabled,” and click on the Ok button to save the changes.

That’s all there is to do. From this point onward, the Super Administrator account is enabled, and you can use it by switching the user account.

If you want to secure your Admin account with a password, then right click on the user account and select the option “Set Password.”

As you can see, the process to enable the super admin account is fairly simple, but be careful while using this account and disable it when you’ve finished using it.

KeyFreeze – A Simple App to Lock Keyboard and Mouse Without Locking the Screen

For any Windows user, “Win + L” is a handy shortcut to lock your system to protect it from unauthorized activity. As useful as it is, this action will lock up the entire system including the screen. But there will be times when you just want to lock the keyboard and mouse but not the screen. This may include, but not be limited to, blocking your kids from messing with your system while watching a movie, to keep track of the progress of an activity on your computer, etc.

No matter what the reason is, there is always an app for Windows and BlueLife KeyFreeze is one such app that makes the task simple and easy.

Lock Keyboard and Mouse, Not the Screen

Using KeyFreeze to lock your keyboard and mouse is easy. First, download the application, extract it to your desktop and execute it. As soon as you execute the application, KeyFreeze will give you five seconds while displaying the unlock keys before locking your keyboard and mouse.

As soon as the lock has been activated, you can no longer use your keyboard or mouse to interact with your system. If you want to unlock the system, simply press the displayed keyboard shortcut “CTRL + ALT + F.” If you want to lock the system again, simply reuse the keyboard shortcut.

If you just want to lock either the keyboard or the mouse, then right click on the KeyFreeze icon in the taskbar and select the relevant option, e.g. “Lock Keyboard” to lock just the keyboard and “Lock Mouse” to only lock the mouse.

Even though the application is straightforward, it does have some basic settings like playing sound while locking or unlocking, showing pop-up windows, locking on startup, etc. To access the settings panel, right click on the KeyFreeze icon in the taskbar and select the “Options.”

That being said, if you want to quickly launch the KeyFreeze program whenever you want to lock your system, then you can create a simple AutoHotKey script and schedule it to launch it on system startup. To do that, you first need todownload and install the AutoHotKey application.

Once installed, create a new text document and add the following script to the file and save it. Once you’ve saved the file, rename it to “lock.ahk” (or whatever you want). Just make sure that you are using “.ahk” extension instead of “.txt.” Also, don’t forget to change the application location according to where you’ve placed the KeyFreeze application.

What the above script does is launch the KeyFreeze application whenever you press the keyboard shortcut “CTRL + ALT + K.” Of course, you can always customize the keyboard shortcut to suit your needs. Now, double click on the file and test the keyboard shortcut.

Once you are done with the configuration, create a basic scheduled task using the task scheduler to launch it at system startup, and you are good to go.

How to Remove Ask Toolbar and Ask.com Search From Your Browser

It is common for computers to be infected with malware like Ask toolbar. The Ask toolbar along with the Ask search bar is notorious for hijacking your browser and hampering productivity by redirecting all the traffic to its search engine. The Ask Toolbar and search bar are often bundled with software installers including those from big companies like Oracle.

Prevention is better than a cure

The Ask toolbar finds its way to your computer through various channels, and as a user you need to be alert while installing free software. Various software publishers integrate the Ask toolbar into their installer for monetary benefits, and those who install software without looking at the details are often the ones attacked by the malware.

Whenever you are installing software, it is always better to select custom installation rather than a recommended installation, as this would give you a chance for Ask to show up.

Remove Ask Toolbar and related content

If the Ask toolbar has already been installed, don’t fret, as there are a few ways for you to promptly get rid of the troublemaker.

Click on “Start” and proceed to “Control Panel;” select “uninstall a program from the options.”

The Control panel will display the list of programs installed in your system. From the list, uninstall everything that is related to Ask.com.

Remove Ask content from the browsers

Chrome Browser

Even after getting rid of the Ask program from the Control Panel, the extensions still reside in the browsers and need to be deleted manually. If you are using the Chrome browser, head to “More -> Extensions,” select all extensions related to Ask and delete them by selecting “Remove from Chrome.” This step will ensure that Ask.com is removed as the default search engine and will not interfere with your searches anymore.

Firefox

If you are using the Firefox browser, then head to the Add-ons section. Search for the Ask toolbar and remove the extension.

How to remove Ask Toolbar using removal software

After receiving plenty of complaints from users, Ask now offers a removal tool that would remove Ask and all the associated content with the single click of a button. The tool seems to be working fine for us and is able to remove all traces of Ask content.

Download the removal tool from here, click on “Run,” and check all the checkboxes. This will help you remove entire content from the system post which is needed to restart the PC.

Wrapping it up

With the above methods, Ask and the associated files should be completely deleted, but in all likelihood some of the files might have taken refuge in the registry. In order to clear them up, we need to run an adware cleaner.

While I have chosen AdwCleaner, you can choose any adware remover you prefer. After downloading AdwCleaner, it scans your entire PC and after that it will delete all the residual files making your PC healthy again.
